This is one of the first changes you see when compared to Windows XP or Vista.  The transparent taskbar allows greater usability.  Now you can pin programs right to the taskbar and quickly access them along with there features through the jump lists.  Start menu has also changed, now users can expect a clean look without some of the buttons from Windows Vista.  The show desktop button is now on the far right next to the clock.

When moving the pointer over any open programs in the taskbar, a small window will come up giving you a preview of the open window and will bring that window up onto the screen.

Shake any open window to minimize any other open window.

A better way to use any device connected to your computer including printers, scanners, mice, media players, and more.  Now a picture of your exact device is shown along with software updates, syncing information, and more.

Windows 7 includes a more convenient way to change the look of Windows.  Changing the theme and colors takes only a few clicks and done.  No messing with unfamiliar files and conversions.

Right click on any program that is pinned to the taskbar and a list comes up with handy tools that are part of the program.
